You might be asking: Can’t you record the album yourself? Why do you need our support?

As you may or may not know, I’m a producer and could probably make this album in my dad’s basement. But I don’t want to settle for a good album, I want this to be great! In order to compete with mainstream artists, I have to get some of the best in the business involved: the players, the producers, the engineers and the mixers. There are people who are more qualified in their professions than I am who can take this album to the next level. Your money will be used to hire the right people for this project.

If you are very generous and we collect more than is needed, the extra funds will go towards a professional video shoot for a song from the album featuring a high-profile actor/actress (leave a comment for who you want to see).

And if you are EXTREMELY MEGA SUPER generous, anything extra will help fund my fall/winter tour in Europe and North America so we can bring this album to you LIVE!

Why an original album?

I love doing covers, but they are not my own songs. Doing my own music is critical when being considered a true artist. The last few years of doing covers were a way to help me build a platform for my original music. It’s finally time to focus on that. I’m Excited!

Why is this album special?

First and foremost, it will be a fan-funded album! Also, it will be my first official original album release! Over the last three months, I’ve been in LA and Nashville writing for this project. I’ve been staying with friends, (sleeping on blow-up mattresses), and co-writing daily with GrammyAward-winning songwriters who have written songs with Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry, Tim McGraw, and others… This is my biggest, best and most passionate project to date.

When will this album be released?

This album will be released in two parts: Part one (six songs) on September 18th, 2012. Part two on February 12, 2013. Part two will be the compilation of the entire album of approximately 12 songs.

Why are you releasing the album in two parts?

I want to get these songs to you quicker, before we tour Europe and North America. It takes a long time to record an albums length of material and it wouldn’t be available before our fall/winter tour!

Why didn’t you use Kick Starter or something similar?

I was going to use Kick Starter but I didn’t want to ask for a specific amount. It’s an all or nothing thing with a fundraiser like that. If we don’t reach the amount specified, then the project doesn’t happen. I want this album to happen regardless of the amount of money donated and I wanted to give you the option to get involved.

What platform are you using to collect support?

We are using PayPal to make all transactions. That way you can use a credit card too. It’s safe and secure and none of your financial or credit card information will be revealed. Please keep in mind that PayPal takes 30 cents for each transaction. For example: if you give 1 dollar, only 70 cents will be donated. If you give 5 dollars, $4.70 will be used toward the album.
